Last updated:
This policy explains how Webscover collects and uses personal data when you visit webscover.com or contact us. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Polish law.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is Webscover. Contact: info@webscover.com.
2. What data we collect
We only collect what we need to reply to you, run our projects and keep the website working.
When you contact us by e-mail or through the contact form: your name, e-mail address, phone or messenger contact (if you give it), the service you are interested in and anything you write in your message.
When you become a client: contact details of the people we work with, invoicing details, the contract and our project correspondence.
When you browse the website: our hosting provider automatically records technical data in server logs — IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time of the request. We need this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. We never sell personal data.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and preparing a proposal | Steps taken at your request before a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Delivering the services agreed in our contract | Performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Invoicing, accounting and tax obligations | Legal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c) |
| Keeping the website secure and working | Our legitimate interest — Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims | Our legitimate interest — Art. 6(1)(f) |
4. Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf and under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR): our website hosting (which also delivers contact-form messages to our mailbox), our e-mail and office software provider, and our accounting firm. We may also disclose data to public authorities when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: up to 12 months after our last contact.
- Client and contract data: for the duration of the contract and afterwards for as long as claims can be raised — up to 6 years.
- Invoices and accounting records: for the period required by tax law.
- Server logs: for a short period set by our hosting provider, normally no longer than 30 days.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl).
To use any of these rights, e-mail us at info@webscover.com. We will reply within one month.
7. Do you have to give us your data?
No, it is voluntary. But without an e-mail address we can’t reply to your enquiry.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
